Levels and Experience:
A character levels up based on their experience, receiving additional points to spend on stats over time. Experience is received as follows:
-A regular roleplay thread, or side-story, grants each participant 2-4 experience based on quality and quantity, possibly more if it is particularly entertaining. Alternatively, roleplay threads can be used to learn jutsu.
-A mission event of D rank grants each participant 3 experience and a 250 ryo reward.
-A mission event of C rank grants each participant 4 experience and 750 ryo, with the potential for an additional experience, should the character either fight, or avoid fighting entirely through diplomacy.
-A mission event of B rank grants each participant 5 experience and 1500 ryo, plus additional experience per fight.
-A mission event of A rank grants each participant 6 experience and 2000-4000 ryo, plus additional experience per fight.
-A mission event of S rank grants each participant 7 experience and 6000-Infinite ryo, plus additional experience per fight.
-All missions grant at least 1 learning point. (See below)
-A main event grants experience based on duration, as well as a larger learning point reward.
-Special Mission Rule-
Players may run their own missions, taking control of the sensei for roleplay purposes. They will be expected to use the sensei properly, and to give themselves a modest-looking challenge. The grading admin can reduce rewards for missions deemed 'too easy', or for misuse of the sensei's abilities.
-Special Event Rule-
Events grant a lot of experience and learning points, as such, there are limits placed on the number you can take in a certain period of time. You may only request or join one event in a calendar month. They do not carry over, and if you don't take your events, you don't get them later. Cheating on this results in experience penalties that increase with each instance of cheating.

Levels 26-45: 15 exp per level
Levels 46-70: 20 exp per level

Threads and Solos:
There are two options for posting. You can make either a thread, which includes multiple players, or a solo, which is a short story written entirely by you, for you. Threads grant more experience or learning points, but solos you can write by yourself.
Learning Jutsu:
A learning thread consists of a request to learn a technique, and roleplay which involves learning it. The character must spend at least half of the learning points required to learn the jutsu, up to all of the points required, and must make up the rest with roleplay.
The player must pay at least half of the learning points needed to learn a jutsu, and also have enough jutsu points to “remember” the technique.

E ranks: 2 learning points/1 jutsu point
D ranks: 4 learning points/2 jutsu points
