To gain an elemental affinity, you only need to state that your character would like to learn it. Be careful, as elemental affinities are permanent once learned, and can never be rescinded.
First elemental affinity training (Natural Affinity): 5 learning points, 2 jutsu points. Natural Affinity jutsu cost 1 less learning point.
Second elemental affinity training: 9 learning points, 3 jutsu points.
Third+ elemental affinity training: 13 learning points, 4 jutsu points.
Fourth+ elemental affinity training: 1 perk, plus third training requirements.
To gain an elemental affinity through roleplay, a small event that does not count towards your monthly maximum is created for you. The only reward is the affinity after paying the needed learning points.
